Jack rarely shows his vulnerable side to women, but when he meets the sexy physexian Ginger Graham, he knows his heart will never be the same. Jack and Ginger have Chemistry, but will it be enough to satisfy their desires?

Book Blurb:

Ginger Graham has had the worst solar-day anyone could have. Being put on a hit list would do that to a woman. On her quest to drink her problem under the table, she meets Mr. Perfect...in the most luscious package. As a physexian, she knows his type, he’s a candidate for her couch. Uranous-insanous. In order to hide from the hit-man, she goes to a desolate planet, and learns who her protector will be–Mr. Perfect himself.

They said he was a space-aged Casanova. Maybe he was, but Jack never thought his reputation would gamble against the odds of winning the female of his dreams. Living like an ancient cowboy on Planet Appaloosa, Jack’s home is the perfect place for a female hiding out from the Martian mafia. When his brother asks him to protect her, Jack tries to convince Ginger that he’s not an immature sex-crazed male in hopes of winning her heart.

Jack and Ginger’s chemistry is smoking hot, but will it be enough to satisfy their desires?

He continued to kiss her even though he knew he should pull away. She rested her hands on his shoulders, tugging at the nape of his hair. The insistence of her movements indicated she enjoyed the kiss as much as he did.

What the heck, he wouldn’t back down now. Jack stopped moving to the music and lifted her a few inches off the floor. Her body crushed against his, gave him an instant awareness of her breasts pressing against his chest. A deep groan probed inside him and caused her to moan in return.

“Jack. Oh, Jackie boy.”

Jack pulled away from Ginger, letting her body slide against his as it lowered, but he didn’t move his eyes from hers. He ran his tongue over his lips, still able to taste the liquor she’d been drinking. Instead of the honey he imagined, he’d tasted whisky. She easily lassoed his heart.

“I’m sorry, stunner.” He turned to glare at whichever minion interrupted.

Venus looked ready to do battle. “We’re ready to leave. Come on, Jack, you promised us a fun night, and we’re not having fun. We want to have sex.” Venus pouted, her eyes narrowed, inspecting Ginger.

“Are…are all those women your…girlfriends?” Ginger looked insulted by the possibility. “The liquor from the Solar Slams must have made me…” She shook her head. “You can’t have that many women fawning over you, do you? Numbing Neptune, you’re a candidate for an appointment with a physexian, aren’t you?”

Jack turned back to her. “What? Oh, ah…no.”

Damn, was he in a pickle or what? The old ancient saying made him chuckle inside. He didn’t know how to answer.

Before he could come up with a believable explanation for Venus’ remarks, Venus spoke. “Yeah, we are. Now release our male or you’ll get a phaser-ray shoved in your face.”

“Venus.” Jack glared. “I’ll meet you back at the table. Let me say goodbye to Ginger.”

If Jack hadn’t known better, he might have thought the minions were jealous of Ginger. No, that couldn’t be—inconceivable. They had always shared him, and never made a remark about any of the females he saw. Why had they become so hostile toward sweet Ginger?

Sometimes, he didn’t appreciate their juvenile practices. Like the one that just played out in front of him. Venus walked off, and he looked at Ginger’s angry face. The sweet woman in his arms a few minutes ago disappeared.

An explanation was in order. “Look darlin’, those females are just friends, and we…”

Ginger stepped backward, giving him the most curious look. “And you have sex with them. She just said that you will. You actually have sex with all of them?” Her voice rose.

Jack cast an indignant look at the minions. “Well…ah…”

Damn, that pickle just got a whole lot bigger. Druking hell. She was fixin’ to get angry. “Yeah, but we’re just friends.”

“Sounds like more than friendship, Jack. It was nice meeting you. Goodbye.” Ginger turned to leave. “Uranus-insanus, a sex god. Could I be more unfortunate? And he was such a pyretic, too. Definitely, not Mr. Perfect.”

Jack wanted to laugh at her comments, but that would just make her angrier. He wouldn’t let her leave, not without a proper goodbye kiss. He stopped her before she could get too far, and pulled her near the serving unit. When he placed her between his arms, she glared at him. Her back pressed against the pole of the serving unit, and she looked at him as if he’d lost his mind.

He moved in for a kiss. “I want a goodbye kiss, Ginger.”

At first, he gentled the kiss, but then sexual urges took over. Never, never did he want to stop kissing her. As if his life depended on it, he kept his mouth fused to hers, teasing her tongue’s response. He concentrated on each stroke, and how it felt touching hers. She began yielding to his demand, which transmitted the signal to his cock. Now in its own state of mind, his testosterone levels rose beyond his ability to remain sane. He wanted her with such intensity.

Jack pulled back, smiling in a most deviant manner. “It was nice meeting you, Ginger Graham. You really are a stunner.”

Ginger laughed nervously and pushed his hands away from the pole, freeing herself from his entrapment. “Goodbye, Jack.”

Reviews

I thoroughly enjoyed this erotic, exciting story from Kara Griffin. While the writing sometimes doesn’t seem to flow quite as smoothly as in some of her other books, the sex scenes are slick as satin and sticky-sweet as caramel pudding. Ginger and Jack just don’t communicate very well. Ginger got the mistaken idea from her conversation with Chance that Jack is a philanderer and everything he says is filtered through her prejudiced assumptions. So they always end up fighting after earth shattering love making, with Ginger trying to convince Jack that it doesn’t mean any more to her than it does to him. It breaks his heart because he loves her. She loves him too. They waste most of their relationship misunderstanding each other, but at least they have some really good sex while they are getting it all straightened out. Queen Valeen’s PAM moderator is back, as incorrigible as ever. She plots against the humans with Jack’s moderator, MAX, and they provide some humorous moments. Even though this is the sequel to Cosmic Hearts it stands well on its own. You’ll be as captivated by this book as I was. Don’t miss Cosmic Chemistry from Kara Griffin.

This review is from: Cosmic Chemistry (Paperback)

Cosmic Chemistry is the first book I have read from Ms. Griffin. I was unsure what to expect, but found a wonderful story that combined futuristic elements with a classic cowboy romance. I found Ginger's character very professional and rigid at first and was prepared to dislike her, but I began to understand her more as the story unfolded. Jack's character was so perfect in keeping with the cowboy image, from sowing his wild oats while looking for his dream woman, to his love for his ranch and even the rodeo. Ms. Griffin had the tongue-in-cheek humor running in this story from the first page to the last. I found myself smiling even while I was shaking my head at Jack and Ginger's misadventures and misunderstandings. This story is fun, humorous and should not be missed.
